Few days back I just faced an issue to generate SITEMAP.XML through “Yoast SEO plugin” on my website. So I searched on it and found that this issue was generating because of an outdated plugin which I wasn’t using on my website. So I just deactivated that plugin immediately and checked SITEMAP.XML. And now it’s working fine.
Here are some useful steps that we can follow for troubleshooting the issue:
Uninstall the unnecessary or doubtful plugins one by one.
If there is an empty line at the beginning (before the wp-config.php or functions.php file. Please remove it.
Yesterday I just checking my website’s cached version in Google and it’s showing me a 404 error. I was worried at one time. But after researching on it I found that this is just an error message from Google nothing serious.
This happens some times and we don’t need to worry about it. It wouldn’t affect your ranking and SEO. It’s just a message you can say.
If you think if there is some problem with your website. So you can check in Google Webmaster Tools. Basically cache errors doesn’t mean there are problems with your site or rankings.
